Releasing on June 13th of this year, Steel Wool Games is releasing a new game called Five Nights at Freddy’s: Secret of the Mimic. It will be published by Scottgames and Steel Wool Games.
The game will be released to the PS5 and Windows, and will cost $40. The engine being used to make it is the Unreal Engine.
The game is the second game from Steel Wool Games about the FNAF series, not including the DLC for the game Security Breach.
According to WJPS 12th grader Alexander Wu, “The FNAF series has been an important part of my younger childhood, and I love all of Scott Cawthon’s games. The recent games have been really good, and I’m hoping this will live up to them.”
The game has been in the making since 2022, and is based on the story of the Mimic in a Five Nights at Freddy’s book.
WJPS 12th grader Vanessa Arellano said, “I hope this FNAF game will live up to all the hype of the rest of the games. The recent ones have been good but I feel like they don’t contain the original lore of the FNAF games.”
