Teaching is different than it was in the past. The library was a staple that students would use to study, conduct research, and do their homework; students today can do everything that a library has to offer, in the comfort of their own home.
As the new technology has emerged, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) learning for students has become quite different. Students use AI in their studies and teachers use AI in their teachings.
Overusing AI can be a problem for both teachers and students. If we keep relying on it like this the future might not be as bright as we hope. AI is a powerful tool, but we shouldn’t forget the importance of real effort and original thinking.
WJPS 12th grader David Cortes said, “AI makes my work easier, but my teachers want original ideas. If I use AI too much it can limit my creative thinking.”
WJPS 12th grader Lilah Freeman said, “I use AI for homework because it provides instant answers, but sometimes I lose track of writing my own thoughts and this can be a problem in the long term.”
