The new movie Bears on a Ship was released to theaters last month and is produced by Unica Films, and was directed by Eduardo Castrillo. The main cast includes actors like Derek Crowe, Kyrstal Shay, Jonez Cain, and Sherill Quinn.

WJPS 12th grader Jordan Juarez stated, “The plot is pretty questionable, out of everything they choose, the conflict is a bear on a ship out of everything, but even after that I would give this a chance. It’s definitely something different and unique.”

The movie was shown across the United States with a special screening on April 25th and 26th, at the Chabot theater in California.

This movie consists of elements of horror and adventure, and will follow the challenge of survival in a confined environment against bears.

WJPS 12th grader Preston Ng stated, “To be honest I have never heard about this movie and most likely won’t end up watching it, but If it comes out on like Netflix or something I’ll be definitely down to give it somewhat of a chance.”
