As the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 approaches on June 5th, the company has revealed its price and it’s too high.
Nintendo Switch 2 will be selling for a whopping $450, each game will be sold at $80 online and $90 in-person, along with $30 monthly online subscriptions. This is much higher than previous versions.
President Trump’s tariffs also play a role in the increase of price.
The Nintendo switch 2’s newer features such as voice chat, are expensive to produce, which could be why it’s selling for more
WJPS eighth grader Santiago Carmona said, “$500 for the Switch two feels like robbery at this point, not even the PlayStation five was that much.”
WJPS teacher, Mr. Sulea said,”Yes, I have seen the prices and I think it is too much, however many people are dedicated, and will likely buy regardless.”
