The Nintendo Company will release Mario Kart World on June 5th. The game will cost $80 and will only be available on the Nintendo Switch 2.

It is a cart racing game containing characters shown in several different Nintendo games. Unlike previous games, this game will contain open world and off-track aspects.

It will contain 50 characters, many of which were not in previous games, with a lot of different customization when it comes to the karts and characters themselves. 

The game is both multiplayer and singleplayer, allowing up to 24 players per game, the highest in any Mario Kart game so far.

WJPS 11th grader Landon Thai said, “I’m glad we’re getting an original and new Mario Kart game after eight long years. The previous game was just a Nintendo Switch remaster of Mario Kart 8, and the idea of having more players makes the game more chaotic.”

WJPS 12th grader Preston Ng said, “It is way too expensive for a driving game. Realistically the game should cost $70 at most, and the fact I would have to get an entirely new console to play it is annoying.”
