Sometime in the latter half of 2025, Game Freak, a game developing company, will release a new addition to the Pokemon series: Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

This game will also be an addition to the new non-mainline Pokemon series, the Legends series, first released in 2022. The stories of the previous Legends game will not be related to the story of Legends Z-A.

Legends Z-A will take place in the Kalos region, a fictional country within the Pokemon world. Unlike the previous Legends game, the game will take place in the future contrary to the past.

Legends Z-A has a few features not previously added to previous Pokemon games, like the ability to dodge attacks manually with a pokemon, move a pokemon closer to an enemy and use a move, and attacks have a certain range.

According to WJPS 12th grader Maya Guadarrama, “The game itself is unique and has new features old Pokemon games didn’t have. Due to the success of the first Legends game, I have high expectations about this one”.

According to WJPS 12th grader Erica Lin, “I love the Pokemon games and I am excited to play this one. Legends Arceus is one of my favorite games of all time, and I’m sure this will be a success too.”
