Tales of the Shire is an upcoming life simulator video game set in Jonathan Ronald Reuel Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings’ Middle-earth.
Players will experience life as hobbits in the game, being able to do activities such as cooking, farming, making friends, and decorating their homes.
“Greet comfort at the door as you decorate your own Hobbit Hole, tend to your garden, fish at the clear ponds, forage wild fruits and herbs, or trade with townsfolks. Prepare homemade meals to share with fellow Hobbits and foster relationships,” stated the official Tales of the Shire website.
Players can explore Bywater, a village near Hobbiton, and participate in quests that explore the culture and traditions of Hobbits. The release date is set for July 29th.
It will be available on platforms like PlayStation 5, Windows, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X and S.
WJPS 12th grader, Adam Shalaby shared, “I’ve played Stardew Valley and if this game is similar I would play it.”
WJPS 12th grader, Rick Montoya said, “Cozy games are an amazing distraction from any hard games or competitive games, away from all the fighting to just farming and enjoying a little community you build. The new Lord of the Rings game looks nice with it having a design of older games, but with better models.”
