Civilization VII (Seven) was released worldwide last month. Developed by Firaxis Games and published by 2K Games, it is the seventh edition of Sid Meier’s game “Civilization”, a website game created in 1991.
The game is a turn-based strategy game that uses historical civilizations you can play as. In total, there are 31 different civilizations, however one of them is only for people who pre-ordered the game.
In order to win, you must complete a legacy path. These paths have several different goals you have to achieve in order to win, however you can only win by using one of these in the modern age.
The game is confirmed to release several paid and free DLCs (Downloadable Content). These DLCs will release new civilizations to play as, as well as different modes that change up the game.
According to WJPS 12th grader Dante Lobosco, “The new civilization game is underwhelming and really doesn’t add much to the game. It feels almost like a carbon copy of Civilization VI (Six), with the only thing changing are win conditions.”
12th grader Preston Ng said, “The new civilization game has a weird GUI (graphical user interface) and I hope they change it. It is messing up the game for me”.
