WJPS principal Dr. Bacchus has announced ‘Wolf Week’ to be between March 10th and March 14th. The purpose of Wolf Week is to increase school spirit and make WJPS students more of a community.
There will be three activities held during Wolf Week: a volleyball tournament, a step routine, and mural creation. Students will represent their grade for the event they sign up for.
The volleyball game will be a competition between different grades, such as the 10th grade team might go against the 11th grade team. The step routine will be a dancing event similar to what the step team performs. Students can also draw a mural to represent their grade.
WJPS teacher Ms. Smith said, “I’ve been wanting to do something like this because I’ve experienced a week like this before when I was in school.”
WJPS 12th grader Aisha Ismail said, “I think it is really cool and unique that the school is planning to do this and It’ll be fun.”
