The SAT will be held on March 19th at World Journalism Preparatory School. Although taken on different dates, the SAT is a mandatory test for all 11th grade students.
The SAT will be an online test. There is a Math and an ELA section.
The test is timed, and there are breaks that are given between both sections. After completing a section, students receive a break until the next section begins.
10th graders will take PSAT, which is a practice test to give students a feel of how the test will take place.
According to the College Board, the score range for the SAT is 400-1600. Each section will have a score range of 200-800.
WJPS has been holding an SAT prep class to help students perform well on the test. This class is from 2:30 to 4:30 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
WJPS 11th grader Noah Lim said, “I go to the SAT prep class, and it helps me a lot. It’s helped me feel more confident for the test.”
WJPS also gave out textbooks. These textbooks are filled with questions you can find on the test to help prepare for the exam.
