The upcoming film Karate Kid: Legend will star Jackie Chan as Mr. Han, Joshua Jackson as Victor, and Beng Wang as Li Fong. The film will be released on May 30th.
A tragedy happens that results in Li Fong and his mom leaving Beijing for New York City. The movie highlights his trouble fitting in his new life.
Li Fong decides to not fight anymore due to the fact he isn’t strong enough to win the competition he previously entered. Li Fong’s new masters teach him a new way to fight.
The movie is being filmed in Canada.
WJPS 12th grader Lidia Kraljic said, “As I watched the trailer, I noticed that it is going to be really exciting for all of the Karate Kid fans and for people who like movies and shows like this. I think it will be very enjoyable and fun to watch for those interested.”
WJPS 12th grader Lilah Freeman stated, “Lots of people will want to go watch this movie who have previously watched and enjoy the Karate Kid.”
