Ghost of Yotei is an action adventure game created by Sucker Punch Productions. It is planned to be released in 2025.
It is a sequel to the 2020 game “Ghost of Tsushima.” Although a sequel, the game itself is expected not to be closely connected.
Atsu, the protagonist, is a female samurai in early Edo Japan seeking revenge against those who wronged her. She embraces the name “The Ghost” given to esteemed samurai who seek vengeance.
WJPS 12th grader Ishal Ahmad said, “I like the idea of a female protagonist as it connects to more people. I don’t understand why people hate the idea of female protagonists in games.”
According to WJPS 12th grader Lorie White, “Ghost of Tsushima was an amazing game. I don’t understand why there is so much hate just because there is a female character. Jin Sakai was a good protagonist, but there isn’t much more for the developers to add.”
