As winter is almost here on the calendar, that means a major temperature change. Students expect to go into school in a warm environment, but as of lately that hasn’t been the case.
There have been many complaints from students and teachers about the heating/air conditioning system and how cold it’s been inside classes.
WJPS 10th grader, Maxwell Sanz said, “They need to fix it because every classroom I go into is cold and uncomfortable and everyone is complaining about it.”
It’s hard to focus and complete work in this type of environment . Teachers have reported this issue multiple times, but it seems as if it’s never getting fixed.
Students are expected to complete work and tasks, but how are they expected to do that if they can’t concentrate because of the temperature?
WJPS interim principal, Mr. Yarmy said, “I think it’s important to feel comfortable in the learning environment. I know we’ve had a big upgrade and I know they haven’t been working as well.”
