On Francis Lewis Boulevard and in front of World Journalism Preparatory School, there are many cars outside the high school and middle school entrances. This can be a danger to students and drivers and causes a big concern for your kids safety.
The road at the entrance of WJPS is very narrow. This can lead to accidents and dangers for kids crossing the road.
There should be more crossing guards because there are many kids who just run across the street. There will be a crossing guard there for a day or a couple more days and then they aren’t seen again.
WJPS 11th grader Noah Lim said, “I drive to school every morning, and it’s always so hard to get through with many cars on a narrow street in front of the entrance. It causes me to be a little late.”
WJPS teacher Mr. Reff said, “I come all the way from Long Island, and I come relatively early so it isn’t so packed for me in the morning, but after school it takes me a while just to get out.”
WJPS 11th grader Anthony Canale said, “I drive to school in the morning; getting there is difficult but also leaving is very difficult, and can take some time.”
