Creatures Inc. has released a new game to IOS and Android devices called “Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket.” It’s based on the collectible card game of the same name.
The game currently has over 200 cards that you can obtain by opening up card packs. The card packs available on release were part of the Genetic Apex collection, which contains three different packs labeled Charizard, Pikachu, and Mewtwo.
Every 12 hours you can open a pack, and each pack contains five cards. You can use a digital currency within the game to shorten the amount of time to open a pack. You can only get these by spending real money.
The game has a battle mode in which you take cards you obtain and put them into a deck of 20 cards to battle other players or AI.
WJPS 12th grader Erica Lin said, “The booster packs should have more cards in it, and stay 12 hours in between opening one. It’s a nice way for fans to collect cards, and I like the fact I don’t have to fight against real people”.
WJPS 12th grader Maya Guadarrama said, “The game is reminiscent of my childhood, as I used to collect booster packs with my friends and battle one another. It is so much easier to collect and not lose cards”.
