WJPS 12th grader Jaclyn Neira is a player for the Francis Lewis High School volleyball team, and she has been playing for the school for four years.
While Niera plays volleyball for Francis Lewis, she also plays club volleyball. This is a separate team outside of school that she had to try out for and only a select number of players made the team.
Neira said, “The sport brought me the most interest watching it as a kid so I decided to pursue it.”
She has always had a love for the sport since she was young.
She plays volleyball every day of the week for Francis Lewis and sometimes two times a day if she has club practice.
WJPS 12th grader Claudia Lopez, a teammate of Neira’s said, “It’s amazing playing with Jaclyn, and she is a great player.”
