A Space X capsule has returned to the International Space Station(ISS) to bring home the astronauts. However, due to technical issues, regarding thruster malfunctions and helium leaks, the astronauts will have to wait until February 2025, before they can return to Earth.
Boeing and NASA spent months investigating the issue, before coming to the conclusion that they would have to take back the empty capsule.
NASA’s shuttle fleet has retired so the U.S. had to use an alternative; The Russian Soyuz crafts will be used in order to bring the astronauts back to the ISS
WJPS teacher, Mr. Van Deurs said, “I would be scared. Honestly the ISS is not spacious. I would only want to stay there for a few days but untill next year, it sounds crazy.”
WJPS 12th grader, Nicolas Fritzpatrick said, “I would honestly just pray to god. Who knows, at that point what would happen.”
WJPS seventh grader, Jax Williams said, “I would be very sad and scared, but I would wonder how everyone on Earth is doing.”
