Some teachers here at WJPS have been having issues with the class’s Promethean boards.
This is becoming a problem.
The majority of teachers at WJPS use these boards to teach their students.
Promethean boards have been not functioning properly and may become a bigger issue since it may slow the learning process down.
Many teachers may use the Promethean boards for videos, lessons, and even reviewing certain topics in the class.
Some of the Promethean boards in the school are pretty old, and can have issues like reaction time, not turning on, and volume issues.
The volume issue can be pretty annoying for some teachers and students because some videos don’t have captions available to read; this makes it harder for students to gather information.
WJPS teacher, Ms. Bonanni stated, “I really love the concept of them, but they can really stink sometimes.”
WJPS technology specialist, Mr. Myrtil also said, “I like them, they are extremely functional, although they can be really slow if you don’t constantly update them they would end up moving slow.”
The bottom line is that new Promethean boards should replace the old ones allowing students to have a better learning experience.
