The basketball unit this school year for physical education will be a three versus three tournament. You can either choose to participate in a tournament where you play a three versus three game or a three versus three shooting tournament.
This is a change to the gym curriculum as this has never been done before.
WJPS teacher Mr. Maroney said, “I have to keep the students interested and I have to keep things fresh. So the kids that play basketball can play how they want so everyone is happy.”
The teachers said they want a fun, interactive and enjoyable class period for the students. This unit hits all of those points as it gets every single student playing.
WJPS teacher Ms. Smith said, “We decided that with the seniors we should try something different and more competitive.”
