Throughout this fall, many fundraisers have been used to generate money in school. These fundraisers are primarily used by sports teams, clubs, and other extracurricular activities.
Some of these fundraisers are online. However, most of the time students are seen selling chocolate and other sweets to generate money.
WJPS 11th grader Leonard Brosnan said, “I see a lot of these going on in classes and in the hallways. The people hold a big box of chocolate and go around asking people if they want it.”
WJPS 11th grader George Sfakianos said, “I see a lot of these online as well and I see people posting fundraisers for teams on their social media stories.”
Some of the fundraisers are for the Francis Lewis High School sports teams. WJPS high school students can also play on Francis Lewis High School teams.
The price of the chocolates sold for the fundraisers are typically one dollar a bar.
With the online fundraiser, you can send money through the website or app. This way, you can donate as much money as you would like.
