If students don’t behave in World Journalism Preparatory School, often they get detention.
There is lunch detention and after school detention.
For after school detention students have to stay an extra 30 minutes to an hour.
While lunch detention means no time with friends as students must report to the detention room.
Some students would rather have lunch detention than after school detention because you get the detention done during school hours.
WJPS 11th grader Anthony Canale said, “I don’t like after school detention because when the bell rings I want to go home, do my homework and then finally relax after a long day of learning at school.”
WJPS 11th grader Noah Lim said, “I would rather have lunch detention than have after school detention because I don’t want to stay in school for an extra 30 minutes. I would much rather do the detention during lunch so I get it over with.”
