WJPS offers a wide variety of clubs, run by teachers. There are various clubs that you can join, some that have been running for many years such as spirit club, step team, and student government.
Middle school students who are interested in cheerleading should speak to Ms. Szabo. She is in charge of the spirit club, the school’s cheerleading team. Tryouts begin at the end of September.
If you are interested in our school’s step team, see Ms. Shields who is in charge of the team. The club has already started with its former members.
Ms. Shields stated, “We’ll do things like the talent show, and the stepping up ceremony. Sometimes we’ll compete in competitions within the area.”
If you are interested in student government, see Mr. Thompson. The members of student government help with planning and providing opportunities for fundraisers and trips for other students.
Mr. Thompson said, “It’s Me, Ms. Meneses and about 20 students we’re usually here Tuesdays and Thursdays.”
