The 2024 presidential election will be held on November 5th between candidates Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. The presidential debate aired on ABC on September 10th.
The debate took place at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Anyone was able to watch it since it played on ABC as well as streaming services such as ABC News Live, Disney+ and Hulu.
Trump and Harris went head to head both with rivaling points and comments. The two spoke on topics about the country’s economy, race, gun rights, and abortion.
Both candidates made many accusations, remarks and statements at each other in hopes of gaining an edge.
WJPS 12th grader Aisha Ismail said “I thought it was funny, especially Trump’s comments about the cats and dogs. Besides that I thought it was a good debate.”
WJPS 12th grader Preston Ng said “I think the debate was interesting because both candidates did their best to defend and explain their sides.”
