The New Raising Cane’s is expected to open in early July. This will be the first in Queens, and the fifth Raising Cane’s location in the city of New York.

It will be located on Main Street in Flushing. The new spot is replacing the Burger King that closed down a year ago.

Raising Cane’s is known for their chicken fingers, crinkle-cut fries, and their very own Cane sauce. Their menu consists of different combos depending on your appetite.

The first Raising Cane’s location in New York is located in Times Square. It opened in the spring of last year with lots of promotion.

WJPS 11th grader Dylan Schachter said, “I think Main Street is the best place for a new fast food place. I’ve tried Raising Cane’s previously and it was pretty good, so I’ll probably check it out in the summer.”

WJPS teacher Mr. Tesler said, “I’ve never had this fast food restaurant before since I live pretty far from Flushing. They don’t have one near my home, but I think it’s a good fit for the students, especially now that school is almost over.”
