WJPS held an art show in the auditorium on Thursday, May 23rd. It was from 5 to 8 PM.
This took place during the student orientation after school. The artwork that was on display was from 7th to 10th grade students.
Ms. Meneses, the WJPS art teacher, hosted the show and it included a multitude of artworks. Meneses spoke on stage explaining the pieces in depth to help parents better understand the origin/backstory behind it all.
As soon as you walked in the auditorium, you were greeted with the illustrations plastered on the walls.
WJPS eighth grader David Figueroa who attended said, “I enjoyed seeing the art on the walls. It was nice to see the auditorium bright with color.”
Ms. Meneses said, “The art show went as well as I thought it would be. It was nice for the incoming and prospective six grade to ninth grade students to see what our school has to offer as well as the creative talent that our school produces.”
