Released to streaming platforms on December 12th, A Creature Was Stirring is a Christmas themed horror film directed by Damien LeVeck and stars Annalise Basso, Chrissy Metz, Connor Paolo, and Scout Taylor-Compton.

The film follows Charm (Annalise Basso) being cared for by her mother Faith (Chrissy Metz) in an effort to subdue Charm’s strange and inexplicable illness. The two are abruptly interrupted by two siblings, Kory (Connor Paolo) and Liz (Scout Taylor-Compton) in an attempt to find shelter amidst a cold and unforgiving storm. 

The movie suffered from long drawn out exposition scenes that were hard to understand and follow with its one dimensional characters. It’s no surprise that this film only had a limited run in theaters and was pushed to only a few streaming platforms.

Clocking in at only a runtime of one hour and 36 minutes, it’s easy to say that this film could’ve had more to it if it wasn’t for the extremely short runtime.

It’s easy to agree with the rating of  4.6/10 on imdb.com and 50% on Rotten Tomatoes.
