The Metroidvania-fighting game Hollow Knight has a sequel dubbed Hollow Knight: Silksong, releasing sometime this year as the creators have yet to announce a date.
Players can explore new regions as the hunter Hornet, gain new abilities, engage in combat with swarms of insects and other monsters, and unearth long-forgotten mysteries.
Players can take on the role of Hornet, the princess-guardian of Hallownest, and go on an adventure through a brand-new realm governed by song and silk. After being kidnapped and transported to this unknown land, Hornet must fight enemies and unravel mysteries as she makes the journey to the heights of the kingdom.
WJPS 11th grader Maya Guadarrama said, “I would like to play it. It seems hard but I think I will be able to finish the game and the character seems really cute.”
Hollow Knight: Silksong’s broad, interconnected universe is rendered in an original, hand-crafted 2D style.
Hornet will make friends, unearth secrets, and unravel current mysteries in the realm as she searches for the reason behind her capture.
WJPS 11th grader, Adam Shalaby said, “If it’s anything like the first game it’ll be great, plus the trailer makes it look really fun.”
