From October 30th to November 3rd, WJPS students will be able to participate in a Halloween pajama party and a Halloween spirit week.
Halloween spirit week will give students a chance to dress up for specific themes each day of the week. Posters involving the event can also be found around the second and third floors of the school.
Each day consists of:
Monday- Wear Halloween colors
Tuesday- Wear Halloween Costumes
Wednesday- Role swap day (students dress like teachers, teachers dress like students)
Thursday- Each grade dresses as a different decade
Friday- Pajama Day
Students who do not want to participate in the festivities are not permitted to wear non-WJPS attire.
Another event on the agenda includes a Pajama Party. This event will take place November 3rd from five to eight o’clock for only high school students.
Students will be able to wear their favorite school-appropriate spooky pajamas. Tickets are being sold costing $15, in advance and an extra five dollars at the door.
WJPS senior, Abihail Luque said, “This year the themes for spirit week are good, but I would like for next time if they can give students a chance to give ideas on a Google form for some themes. I’m going to participate since it’s my last year here and it will give me a good chance to make some memories. In my opinion, the pj party should’ve been cheaper since it is in our gym.”
WJPS senior, Carlo Rolleri said, “I’m so excited for spirit week, I’m planning on dressing up every day. I can’t wait to see everyone’s outfits and have so much fun at the dance, this is so exciting.”
Both middle school and high school students are encouraged to participate in these events.
