The first Apple Watch released in early 2015, targeted towards having “fitness oriented features” with advancements each year, either in firmware or hardware, or with new functions added.
Apple is reportedly working towards an artificial intelligence health coach in their health application, codenamed “Quartz.”
The current Apple Watch can track heart-rate, time spent asleep, wrist temperature, blood oxygen, and other health oriented details.
Using the data provided by the Apple Watch user, the health coach would be able to customize personalized programs by creating personalized diets and exercise routines.
“Quartz” is expected to release sometime in 2024.
WJPS teacher, Ms. Smith stated, “This looks good as it gives more people encouragement to get healthy, as some people may be too shy or not comfortable to work out and talk to a physical person, they can use Quartz to support them on their health journey.”
WJPS teacher, Ms. Bonanni stated, “I hope there’s more accessibility to these coaches either through other company products or another Apple device which is cheaper than an Apple Watch so more people can easily get advice they may want.”
