Short track speed skating is a sport on ice, but similar to a track and field relay. It is also a sport in the Winter Olympics.
In short track speed skating usually between four and six athletes skate around on an oval on the ice 111.12 meters long.
The ice blades of short track speed skating are taller, shorter, and have a larger arc than the usual skates. This design makes the turning smoother and blade holder is movable so that skaters can adjust the position of the blade when they are going to skate.
The blade tube must be closed, and the root of the blade must be arc-shaped. The knife tube is fixed on the shoe at least at two points, and there are no moving parts.
WJPS junior, Johan Lee stated, “I think that it is more of an underrated sport and more people should probably watch or participate in this sport.”
WJPS junior, William He stated, “I don’t know how to ice skate, but the sport seems very interesting and if I were good at ice skating then I would most likely try the ice track.”
