Valorant is a 5v5 first-person-shooter game, where one team plants a bomb and the other tries to defuse it switching teams after 12 rounds. If one team wins 13 rounds they win the match. Players can choose from 19 different agents, each with different playstyles and abilities.
There are four different roles in the game. They are duelists, who enter the site and play aggressively, controllers, who lockdown sites with smokes to block vision, initiators, who seek out enemies and blind them, and sentinels, who lockdown sites and protect them.
With the closing of episode five, act two, a new agent is going to appear in Valorant. Varun Batra, code name Harbor, is officially the 21st agent in Valorant and he has water abilities to aid him in gunfights with other agents, his playstyle is the controller.
He has three abilities, cascade, costing 150 credits. Harbor’s second ability, cove, cost 350 credits. Finally, his main ability is high tide which is restored every round. His ultimate, reckoning, cost seven amounts of ultimate charge. He gets charges by killing, dying, or claiming ultimate orbs.
WJPS junior Johan Lee said, “Even though I don’t play valorant no more, I think this agent will be good at controlling the map and maybe be the next viper in the game.”
WJPS junior Cameron Henrich said, “The new agent is not even that useful you put a wall up they can shoot through and its water wall just slows you and your teammates down so its not even good.”
