WJPS Thanksgiving feast has been a tradition since the opening of the school.
However because of the pandemic, there hasn’t been a Thanksgiving feast since 2019.
According to WJPS principal Dr. Werner, due to health concerns with COVID, there will be a feast consisting of only desserts.
Alumni are welcomed back to celebrate together. Former students have a chance to walk the hallways reminiscing and looking forward to seeing their former teachers. As alumni come back for the celebration, current students may look at alumni as what to look forward to in a couple of years.
WJPS principal, Dr. Werner said, “I’m very excited about it. It’s wonderful to see our alumni and it’s always a happy day.”
WJPS teacher Ms. Bonanni said, “It’s something that you don’t get at other schools in the city. It’s a great bonding experience and it really makes our school feel how warm of a community we really are. It’s also really fun and it’s my favorite day of the year because the alumni come back and visit us. And I get to see how successful they’ve been after WJPS.”
