Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is a role-playing game where you catch little creatures. In order to catch them, you use a Pokéball which Pokémon get caught inside of.

The Pokeball will shake indicating whether the Pokémon is caught or not. It will shake three times to indicate that you successfully caught it, any fewer results and the Pokémon will escape before the trainer can throw more.             

The new features in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are the new mechanical terastal phenomenon, new region places that we have never seen before, a new starter Pokémon, new Pokémon gym leaders to battle and a new Pokémon that were never shown in previous games.

William Quentin, a junior from WJPS, said, “It should live up to the other Pokemon games as well as bring new concepts to the new Pokemon game. It should be more or as fun as the games before.” 

WJPS junior Nathaniel Granger stated, “It’s going to be more free play and I think the game will have a cooler design than the other games.” 

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is set to release on November 18th on the Nintendo Switch.
