Have you ever gone on an app just for a bit but ended up staying for longer without realizing?
TikTok is a well-known app for short videos like pranks, dancing, and lifestyle videos. You can create or discover short 15 second to three minute videos.
The app is so addicting that you often ignore everything around you and what you should be doing instead.
WJPS senior, Charlize Goicochea said, “I do spend too much time on TikTok because it’s addicting and the algorithm shows me videos it knows I like to keep me watching.”
Jake Zacatelco, WJPS junior stated, “I don’t spend a lot of time on TikTok because I’m always trying to be at a park or doing something other than that because I know it can be addicting.”
WJPS sophomore, George Tsiakas commented, “It’s one of the only apps I spend time on. I love making them{videos} with friends, it’s so much fun.”
Maybe instead of scrolling through it for hours, we should set a limit for how long we spend on the app so we can get other things done.
