Screen time is a feature on cell phones for you to check how much time you spent on your phone daily, also providing a weekly comparison report to see if your screen time went up or down compared to previous week.

In a WJPS junior newspaper class poll, the range of screen time was 10 hours to 45 minutes. Phone pickups were also high as someone had the highest record of 122 pickups in just one day. 

“A lot of people are addicted to their phones because they cannot find joy in other things, I think it’s best to find something exciting either than your phone to reduce screen time.” said WJPS teacher Ms.Kim.

WJPS junior broadcast student Diego Hernandez stated, “I don’t think there is a way to decrease our screen time since we are surrounded by technology both in home and school. I don’t think that there’s a way to have limits on our phones since we are addicted to our phones and need it for emergency.”
