College Decision Day was May 1st.  By that date, most students decided and accepted an admission offer for the school they will attend.  This year, May 1st was on a Sunday, there was no school the following Monday, and AP exams were held during most of the week.

WJPS celebrated Decision Day on Friday, May 6th, with a bagel breakfast.  Since it was raining outside, the event was moved indoors to the gymnasium.

WJPS senior Naomi Long will be attending Holy Family University in the fall and studying criminal justice.  Long said, “I look forward to being in college, and I can’t wait to start a new chapter in my life.” 

WJPS senior Ashinda Fowler said, “I’m looking forward to the experience of going to college.”  She will be studying English at York College in the fall.

WJPS senior, Somiah Singh, said, “I’ll definitely miss my whole grade because we have such a small school. We created a family bond that I know I will definitely miss, along with the teachers that I look up to for guidance,” She will be studying Cybersecurity and Computer Communications at Baruch College.
