It’s nothing new that education for college students gets very difficult. The tuition increases every year. Some students count on amazing scholarships, and others rely on federal financial aid. Unfortunately, this issue affects future seniors.
However, another percentage of students receive a decent scholarship and no financial aid. This particular group of students might have it harder than most students who receive help.
Besides the regular tuition that must be paid annually, textbooks, technology, and transportation costs, are also expenses. This must be taken into account for every student. Many students that are not seniors yet share the same concern of not being able to pay their college expenses.
WJPS eighth grader, Jack Annibale said, “I think it’s a lot of money. I am going to save up, if you get a lot of money, like $100, you need to use it wisely.”
WJPS seventh grader Nicolaos Eyzaguirre said, “I think of a lot of tests and stress. I think it’s too expensive. I am planning on getting a scholarship.”
The only real solution for students who don’t qualify for federal student aid is to work hard to receive a decent scholarship for the schools of your choice.
