Deshaun Watson, who was with the Houston Texans for four years, is a three-time Pro Bowler who got traded in the 2022 offseason to the Cleveland Browns for an historic haul of picks.
However, he is facing 22 civil lawsuits for sexual harrasment and assault, with one incident as early as March 2021.
The Cleveland Browns signed quarterbacks former Miami Dolphin Jacoby Brissett, and former Pittsburgh Steeler Josh Dobbs due to the unknown suspension time Watson could be facing.
The bottom line is that Watson shouldn’t be able to play a game in the NFL until proven not guilty. If he is getting accused of malicious acts and if he’s proven guilty the Browns traded their future away. All for someone who may never play again and may end up in prison.
WJPS junior, Nicholas Zuvich, said, “He is a great player on the field, but due to his off the field issues he shouldn’t play a snap in the NFL.”
Another WJPS junior, Nikolaos Zournatzoglou, said, “I feel that he shouldn’t play because he had so many accusations against him and he shouldn’t play unless all of his cases had been dismissed or proven false.”
