Now that it’s springtime students are antsy with the few months of school left, but with Advanced Placement exams coming up many are up against a crisis of workload.
With all the piling work, the pressure is building up for AP students to balance education and life outside of school.
Students in WJPS are finding ways to combat the overwhelming workload. Senior Nicole Freyeisan mentioned, “I feel pressured with certain classes, but I step away from what is getting me stressed out, and I work on something else to keep my mind off things.”
As the AP exams are near, many are scrambling to cram in study sessions. WJPS senior Jenny Kuo said, “The overbearing workload from my AP classes is more intense now since all the teachers are assigning more work outside of class, now that it’s exam season.”
WJPS junior Emily Faslone said, “The AP classes I take are consuming, but I usually play video games or watch other entertaining media to relax me.”
WJPS students can find ways to overcome the distress they come across as they can work on other things instead, minimizing the load they face.
