Ms. Pepe has been secretary of WJPS since the school opened. She has been a familiar face amongst the staff ever since, but is now retiring. This will mark another loss for the founding school staff, with few members remaining.
Ms. Fong, another member of the founding WJPS staff, was saddened by this news when she stated, “She really took care of us. Any changes that we need to be aware of she’s always the first to let us know. We owe so much to her. She always keeps us organized with payrolls, timesheets, everything.”
After being here for 16 years, Ms. Pepe described her retirement as “bittersweet.” Although she won’t miss the work, she will miss the people, and has made some great friends.
