Now that the second semester has started, many students have been feeling relieved that the first semester is over. Despite this, many will begin to be stressed since SATs and June Regents will be coming up soon.
We’ve seen a poster around the school for an eighth grade trip to Dave & Busters, which sounds fun, but what about the juniors? It’s a bit unfair that juniors have not organized a trip yet, while the seniors and eighth graders have. It may be best for juniors and the other grades to get a trip too.
It would help students relieve stress, as well as give them something to look forward to. Having a school trip for each grade may also serve as a tool to help students connect and bond with each other out of the school building.
Briana Pena, a junior at WJPS stated, “It’s a bit unfair that we haven’t gotten a trip yet. I think we should have at least one.”
Sonya Woodham, another WJPS junior said, “Every grade should at least get one trip a year so it can be equal.”
All grades should have at least one school trip this year so it can be fair and so all students can relieve tension and have something to look forward to.
