YouTube TV is a streaming service that acts as a substitute for live television. This streaming service has many channels including PBS and others.
Recently, YouTube TV took Disney, ABC, and ESPN from their channels due to a deal that Disney had not agreed on. This controversy happened a few weeks before the Super Bowl, so now YouTube TV users can no longer use ESPN to watch the game.
This started when a contract with Disney and its parent company, Walt Disney Studios, led to a disagreement on a new contract before the old one expired. Now, YouTube TV is trying to get the Disney-owned channels back.
A recent Tweet from YouTube states, “We’ve reached a deal with Disney and have already started to restore access to channels like ESPN and FX.”
YouTube has made a new contract with Disney and will bring back multiple Disney-owned channels. Now those looking forward to watching the Super Bowl can watch it on YouTube TV.
