Every year, WJPS invites alumni into the school building for the International Feast. However, this was not able to happen last school year due to the pandemic.
This year, WJPS Alumni Day still happened despite the International Feast being canceled.
WJPS alumni visited classrooms, spoke with current students, and reconnected with teachers and staff.
WJPS alumni tell what they have been doing since graduating and advise students still in high school.
Brittany Galindo, Class of 2021, said, “ College has been pretty great, a very huge difference though. Different amounts of [homework] and professors can be nice or strict.”
Additionally, as advice to students, Gallindo said, “Do your work, you only have four months to get your work done in college.”
From the same graduating class, Sasha Romero said, “College is very different, and it’s a big change; going from online to in person, I’m still adjusting.”
Finally as advice to students considering their future after high school, Romero said, “Put the work in; you don’t have to go to college, but do something.”
