Epic Games and Riot Games recently reached a deal in which all games made by Riot that are in the Riot Client can be downloaded on the Epic Games Store as well.
Titles such as League Of Legends, a Multiplayer Online Battle Arena game, Valorant, a free-to-play first-person shooter, and Teamfight Tactics, an auto battler game, have been added to the Epic Games store as another way to download these games.
Epic Games has also reached a deal with Riot Games in which Jinx, a character from League Of Legends, will be added into Fortnite as a purchasable skin. This is a type of visual change which transforms the appearance of your video game character.
Joseph Vega, a junior at WJPS said, “I think it’s a great idea to put Riot Games on the Epic Games Store as it increases the amount of people able to find and play those games. The Fortnite and Jinx crossover is a good idea, but I think that the skin itself isn’t that great.”
WJPS senior Alvin Zeng said it was, “A great crossover between them to add a League of Legends character into Fortnite.”
Epic Games and Riot Games hope to expand these games to an audience that has not yet seen these games before.
