Students of WJPS recently received new identification cards for the school year. During gym class, a corner of the gym was sectioned off to take pictures of students for their IDs.
Some students had a picture from their freshman year in the school, while others had their middle school photo. No, it has been updated to have all new pictures for the new IDs instead of keeping the old photos.
Students have received new IDs again after there were errors with the barcodes on the last ones.
Students have yet to use their IDs to swipe in and out of the building. In the morning when students first come in, they are only required to show their health screening.
As of November 4th, students were required to use their ID to be let into the building along with a health screening.
“I don’t prefer using my ID because it takes more time,” WJPS senior Daniela Santamaria said.
“It’s already difficult remembering to do the health check, but then to have to find your ID as well is even more annoying,” expressed WJPS senior Somiah Singh, “I get to class even later than usual sometimes because I can’t find it.”
