Are you trying to look young, as you get older? Well, one of the best ways to prevent aging is to apply sunscreen every single day.
Without sunscreen how are you able to protect your skin against the harmful UV rays transmitted from the sun? According to health expert Kate Somerville, she mentions that “sunscreen is very effective in reducing the risk of developing a variety of skin cancers.”
As winter approaches, it’s important to continue applying sunscreen. Just because the sun isn’t beaming as it would during the summer doesn’t mean that your skin can’t undergo sun damage.
WJPS senior Alvin Zeng believes that sunscreen is beneficial. He said, “putting on sunscreen has become a daily routine for me and even though it may have lost some appeal to putting it on, I know that it will benefit my skin in the long run.”
Bella Cirri, an eighth grader at WJPS said, “I don’t really use sunscreen, but sometimes my mom forces me to use it. Sunscreen can be really helpful especially in sports since your skin is exposed to the sun all day.”
Remember to apply sunscreen and make it a habit. Your future self will be grateful.
