All New York City Department of Education students, staff, families, and anyone entering a school building must complete a health screening to be allowed to enter DOE establishments.
How would you feel if you were asked the same questions every day? Well, the health screenings do just that.
Mr. Maroney, WJPS physical education teacher said,“It’s not useful, it’s insufficient, anyone can lie.”
WJPS technology specialist, Mr. Myrtil commented, “I understand why they want that kind of information, but I don’t see the validity.”
Athena Porter, a WJPS freshman, stated, “I think it’s unnecessary, you can say you’re not feeling good and lie about it.”
If we were asked for at least proof of vaccination, it would be more effective than the same questions which can get tiring.
