Now that we are all settled into our academic classes, it’s time to think about extracurricular activities. Extracurricular activities are important to consider because they’re great for students who want their transcripts to look full.
This year, there is one new addition to the WJPS clubs. It’s the Bring Change to Mind Club. Other clubs that have started again so far are Fashion Club, Student Government, and Key Club.
Although these extracurricular activities are amazing, there are not enough options to choose from. Other schools may have more options which can be helpful for students to express themselves or do something outside of school.
Daniela Quispe, a junior at WJPS commented, “Yes, I say there aren’t enough clubs in the school, they should definitely ask the student to see what type of clubs they would love to see.”
Azariah Roberts, another WJPS junior stated, “It would be nice to see somewhere we can learn about taxes and credit.”
It would be great if more students or teachers would start new clubs. Students should have more choices in starting new school clubs, and if they did, it could possibly increase school participation.
