The Release of Windows 11

The+Release+of+Windows+11

Windows 11 was announced in early June, revealing a newer look to the Operating System. This month Microsoft released the system to the public, offering it as a free upgrade for most Windows 10 users.

Microsoft has teased the new Windows 11 before the release, making many excited to see what it offers. Some were able to get Windows 11 early, due to a leak that shared it online in late June.

Many reviewed the early leak, with mixed reviews from many who managed to get their hands on the leak. Some were excited about the performance-enhancing features it brought, while others weren’t as fond, especially because the taskbar is defaulted to the middle, not on the sides.

Microsoft prepared a musical event for the release, with discounts on computers given from many sites such as Amazon and Best Buy.

Leon Pantoja, a senior at WJPS, said ”I don’t feel like Windows 11 added much to Windows, especially since it was released as an incomplete OS to the public.”

Russell Guerra, a senior at WJPS, said “Windows 11 looks pretty cool. I have a windows laptop. I use it every day and have no problems using it. Windows 10 is already a very smooth experience and I’m excited about the update.”

The operating system is still new and being worked on, with updates being given out by Microsoft every few months.
