College essays were due for many students last week and many have struggled to hand them in with ease. The college process tends to be difficult especially for students who haven’t decided yet what colleges they want to apply to and what career they want to take on.

Completing essays during the beginning of the year can also be stressful for students since they need to keep up with their regular school work and meet the deadline of the essay. Not only can college essays be stressful for seniors, but also for any upcoming seniors. 

WJPS English teacher, Ms. Kontos said, “I think they are great and as a teacher it’s a great way to get to know my students. When submitting college essays you should be yourself, be honest and use your own voice. College admission professors want to know who you are to your true self.”

WJPS senior Lianna Zuvich, said, “I’d say plan ahead of time so when the college process starts you won’t have to stress about last minute decisions.”
